More so, the lodge is conveniently positioned in the southern sector of Bwindi Forest National Park next to the Rushaga gorilla tracking gate. Rushaga Gorilla Lodge got its name from the four gorilla sectors in Bwindi that is; Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga, and Nkuringo, however, is the best option for mid-range visitors to the park who would like to do gorilla habituation since it is the only sector where habituation can be carried out. It takes only 15 minutes to walk from the lodge to the starting point.
