Hot air balloon safaris in Uganda is an amazing, thrilling activity that attract many tourists to come to explore through the beautiful natures and wildlife within the national parks in the country. Hot air balloon Uganda safaris are managed by two companies that guide and brief tourists about how to handle themselves as they have a great experience as they explore through balloon rides and these companies are; Balloon tours Uganda limited and Dream balloon limited. However, tourists who would love to participate in this activity are required to pay a fee whereby adults are charged 200USD and 100 USD for children.
Hot air Balloon safaris in Uganda are only conducted from two national parks, which are; Murchison falls national park and Queen Elizabeth National Park. These hot air balloon safaris always begin in the morning at 5:00am when tourists enjoy the beautiful sunrise coming from the East and 6:30pm in the evening when tourists enjoy the stunning scenery of the sun as it sets down and this ride always goes for about 2 hours.

Queen Elizabeth national park is located in Kasese district in the southwestern region of Uganda and this park is ranked as of the best destination an individual could visit for balloon riding in Uganda. Queen Elizabeth national park is known as the second largest national park in the country, it covers an area of about 1980 square kilometers, and this park derives its name after the visit of the Queen Elizabeth of England.
Queen Elizabeth national park is most famous for the tree climbing lions and its beautiful volcanic features such as; the deep crater lakes and volcanic cranes, marvelous wildlife animals like; black lined elephants, hippos, buffaloes, and giant Nile crocodiles and it most exciting capturing the classic views of these beautiful creatures from the sky on hot air balloon rides. After the pilot lands on the ground, the tourists always enjoy their bush breakfast which they get from the Mweya safari lodge and it is always accompanied with a glass of Champaign and they still get opportunities to sight see several wildlife species as they get back to their prey and other species as they move to the water bodies such as hippos. Murchison falls national park is known as the largest national park in Uganda which is located in Masindi District in the North western region of the country. the hot air balloon safaris in this park is best for individuals on a honeymoon, or private use and the couple planning a wedding proposal because the hot air balloon are of different sizes; small and big and there is also a medium sized hot air balloon which accommodates about 8 passengers and has a capability of flying at 10,000 feet above the sea level.
The hot air balloons are serviced and inspected on a daily basis by the Civil Aviation Authority to ensure they are still in good conditions and this helps on being aware to protect the safety of tourists.
This activity in Murchison Falls national park is done in two sessions for example; the morning and evening session and only individuals who are 6 years old and above are accepted to engage in this activity because it is unpredictable on how the young one will behave or maybe in a bad state of fear due to the fact the air balloons are flown high.
