The 3 days chimpanzee trekking experience is a safari in Kibale National Park that gives you an opportunity to trek and enjoy the company of the famous chimpanzees in their natural habitat in Kibale National Park.

Kibaale National Park is known as the primate capital because of the huge number of chimpanzees and other primate species that live in the park. On this chimpanzee experience, you will trek the forest twice in search of these chimpanzees, meaning you will enjoy the primates exhaustively.

Chimpanzees are next to mountain gorillas in popularity, in fact they are similar to the gorillas and like the gorillas they also share DNA with humans. They also stay in forests, in groups of 15 to 60 members or more, the groups are led by the males. They are a delight to watch and on this safari, you will surely enjoy their company.

Highlights of 3 days chimpanzee trekking experience

Day 1: Arrival & Drive to Kibale

Day 1 of the 3 days chimpanzee trekking experience will begin from Kampala or Entebbe. You will set off early at 7am to head to Kibale National Park, where you will arrive in the mid-morning. Since you pass through Fort portal town on your way to Kibale you can choose to explore the town briefly before you head to Kibale.

When you get to Kibaale, you will settle into your accommodation have a meal and in the afternoon you will head to the Kibale rain forest for your first chimpanzee trekking adventure.

You will trek the forest to where the chimps are as you take in the freshness of the forest, and observe the different tree species and other forest creatures.

3 days chimpanzee trekking experience

Chimpanzee trekking experience

When you get to the chimps, you will stay in their presence for an hour, observing them, how they play and go about their business.

After the hour you, will then trek back to the park headquarter for a brief, and then you will retire to accommodation for dinner and night rest.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale forest National Park

You will be up early, have breakfast and then head to the park headquarters for a brief before you can go into the forest for your second chimpanzee trekking experience.

After the brief you will enter the forest, like the previous day walk deep in, until you find the chimps. You will spend an hour with the chimps and then you will exit the forest. You will go to the park headquarters for an after-trek brief.

You will then go to you accommodation facility for lunch and a bit of time to rest and refresh.

In the afternoon you will go out for a forest and nature walk to experience the park more and see more creatures that make their home in this particular park.

You will also tour the bigodi swamps where you will see a number of bird species and other water/swamp creatures.

At the end of the day you will head back to your accommodation for dinner and night rest.

Day 3: Departure

You will be in the morning at leisure; you will have breakfast and then set off for Kampala. You will be in Kampala in the late afternoon or the evening. And that will be the end of your 3 day chimpanzee experience.

Day 3: The Uganda Gorilla trekking Experience

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park is a rewarding experience, this rewarding experience takes you through the thick impenetrable forest searching for gorillas.

You will wake up early for breakfast and with your packed lunch, you will transfer to the park’s headquarters where you will meet fellow trekkers. You will be grouped into 8 people, have a briefing experience, be assigned a gorilla group to trek and head into the forest looking for gorillas.

Gorilla trekking takes approximately 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorilla group you are trekking and where it stayed the previous night, when you find the gorillas you will spend one hour with the gorillas while witnessing their amazing behavior and take as many pictures as possible. You will return to the park’s headquarters to pick your gorilla certificates and then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5:  Game drive and Boat Safari in Queen Elizabeth national park

Queen Elizabeth national park is home to numerous flora and fauna, forest galleries, and scenery of ridges and crater lakes with the Rwenzori Mountains (Mountains of the Moon) creating a magnificent backdrop.

Wake up early for the morning and transfer to the park for game viewing, in the morning the predators are easy to spot as they are looking out for the prey before going back into hiding. Through the roof of your vehicle, you have the opportunity to see many animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, cape buffaloes, Uganda kobs among others.

You will have lunch at your lodge and in the afternoon, you will head to the Kazinga Channel for a launch cruise towards Lake Edward. On the cruise, you will enjoy watching different wild animals such as hippos, crocodiles, cape buffaloes, and elephants along the shores and many water birds.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

4 days Uganda Safari Tour : The four-day Queen Elizabeth national park tour will take you to the southwestern region of Uganda, which has the second largest national park in the country, Queen Elizabeth national park.

The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife species, including the big five mammals – the lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards – and many other species of animals as well, such as waterbucks, warthogs, bushbucks, giant woodland hogs and hippos, among others. Queen Elizabeth national park is however known for the tree-climbing lions which are found in the Ishasha sector, the southern part of the park.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Upon arriving at the Entebbe international airport on the first day of our four-day Queen Elizabeth national park tour, you will be met by our driver guide who will give you a brief overview of the safari before we begin our journey to the national park.

On the way you will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe where you will be able to take photos, buy souvenirs and another stop over at Igongo cultural center for lunch. During the drive through the park, you will enjoy great views of tea plantations, crater lakes, the Rwenzori Mountains, lovely landscapes, and upon your arrival you will be taken to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. After lunch you will continue the journey with great views of tea plantations, crater lakes, Rwenzori Mountains, among others.

Day 2: Morning game drive/ lion tracking experience and afternoon boat cruise

After an early morning breakfast on the second day of your four-day Queen Elizabeth national park tour, you will be met by your driver for a morning game drive / lion tracking experience that starts at around seven in the morning.

During the game drive which is commonly done in Kasenyi plains you will be able to view different animals such as elephants, lions, buffaloes, waterbucks, bushbucks, warthogs, bird species like grey crowned crane, red throat spur fowl, martial eagle, black bellied bustard, Senegal plover, black headed gonolek, white tailed lark, rufous napped lark among others, take beautiful pictures of the landscape, sunrise among others. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.

4 days Uganda Safari Tour

In the afternoon, you will drive to the landing site near the luxurious lodge Mweya safari lodge for an exciting boat cruise on Kazinga channel, a water body that connects the lakes Edward and George. The scheduled boat cruise takes about 2 to 3 hours ride and gives you an opportunity take clear photos, cruise meters away from large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, other animals like elephants, buffaloes, antelopes among others which will be drinking water along the banks, aquatic bird species like swamp nightjar, grey headed kingfisher, little bee-eater, swamp flycatcher, pygmy kingfisher, black headed gonolek, view fisher men on the lake shores preparing their fishing gears for night fishing among others. After the interesting boat cruise you will meet up with your driver guide and transfer to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and drive to Ishasha sector   

On the third day of your 4 days Uganda Safari Tour in Queen Elizabeth national park, you will wake up early in the morning to enjoy an early breakfast before meeting your driver guide for the transfer to the Kyambura gorge where you will have the opportunity to see chimpanzees.

Upon arrival you will be briefed about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking and allocated a park guide who will lead you into the jungle while trekking. Trekking of chimpanzees in Kyambura gorge is an exciting activity that involves moving from one place to another in search of the habituated chimpanzee family. Chimpanzee trekking in the gorge takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food.

During trekking you will have great views of other primates like baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, listen to sweet sounds of bird species like African kingfisher, blue headed bee-eater, falcons, African finfoot, animals, plant species, breath fresh air among others. Once the chimpanzees are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to watch them carry out their daily activities like feeding, breastfeeding, playing, hunting, resting, learn about their lifestyle, take photos and record the moments. After the one hour with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to the starting point where you will meet up with your driver-guide and return to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge and transfer you to Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park after lunch. Ishasha sector is famously known for the tree climbing lions which will be viewed lying up in acacia, fig tree branches.

The lions in Ishasha sector climb trees due to various factors such as to have a clear view of the prey, to escape ground heat, to run away from biting insects among others. Aside from the tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector, you will also be able to observe other animals like elephants, buffaloes, a variety of bird species, as well as many others. After the game drive you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Departure to Kampala

As you prepare for the final day of your 4 days Uganda Safari Tour in the Queen Elizabeth national park, after a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide for the journey back to Kampala. On the way you will have a stopover at Igongo cultural center where you will also visit the museum to know more about the Ankole culture and tradition. Upon your arrival at the Igongo cultural center, you will proceed with the journey to Kampala, where your driver guide will drop you off at the Entebbe international airport for your flight out of Kampala.

Day 1: Pick up and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park

Depending on where you are located in Kampala on the first day of your 5-day safari exploring Queen Elizabeth national park, your driver guide will come pick you up, give you a brief introduction to the safari and then begin the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park in western Uganda.

You will have a lunch break at Fort Portal en-route the trip and then continue the journey with spectacular views of the beautiful scenery, such as the Rwenzori Mountains, tea and banana plantations, crater lakes, among others, as you journey to the destination. Upon arrival you will go for an optional evening game drive where you will be able to view various animals like elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs among others. After the game drive you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive/ lion tracking experience and afternoon boat cruise

After breakfast on the second day of the 5 days, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to take you for a morning game drive or lion tracking experience in Kasenyi Plains.

During the game drive, you will be able to see the sunrise, lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda kobs and a wide range of bird species, to name a few. There are four big mammals to see on the safari, which include lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, bushbucks, and zebras. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for lunch.

Afterwards, we will drive you to the landing site near the Mweya safari lodge so that you can enjoy an incredible boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, a 40 kilometer-long channel that forms a connection between Lake George and Lake Edward.

5 Days Explore Queen Elizabeth national park

Lion Tracking in Queen NP

During the boat trip which lasts for about 2 hours you will be able to view large concentrations of hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, view buffaloes, elephants, warthogs drinking water along the banks, view water birds like yellow billed stork, cormorants, hornbills, African skimmer, kingfishers, fish eagles among others.

You will also be able to see the fishermen along the shores preparing their fishing gears for night fishing, take beautiful pictures among others. After the boat cruise you will go for an evening game drive where you will be able to view some of the animals that you missed in the morning and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight while your on a Uganda Safari.

Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking and crater lakes tour

During the third day of your 5 days exploration of Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will meet up with your driver guide for the transfer to Kyambura gorge, also known as the valley of apes, where you will be briefed about the rules and regulations of chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing you will be allocated a park guide and start trekking in the forest in search of the habituated chimpanzees.

Trekking of chimpanzees in Kyambura gorge takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food.

While trekking you will be able to see baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, as well as other primate species like baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, and colorful birds such as African kingfisher, blue-headed bee-eater, falcons, African finfoots, as well as animals like elephants and plants and trees, among many more species.

When the chimpanzees are found, you are permitted to spend one hour with them in the natural habitat where you can learn more about their habits, behaviors, and the ways in which they feed, breastfeed, play, hunt, rest, take photos, record the moments and so on. You will also have the opportunity to observe how they feed, breastfeed, play, hunt, rest, etc. After spending one hour with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to the starting point where you will meet up with your driver guide and transfer back to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will meet with your driver guide for a Crater Lake tour, where you will visit Katwe Crater Lake as part of the tour. During the tour you will be able to interact with the local people who will be extracting rock salt from the lake so as to earn a living, visit Nyamunuka Crater Lake which is known as the hospital for animals, Lake Bunyampaka, Nyamunuka among others. After the Crater Lakes tour you will drive back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game drive in Ishasha sector

After breakfast on the fourth day of your 5-day journey exploring the Queen Elizabeth national park, you will meet up with your driver guide for a full day game drive in the Ishasha sector of the park.

Ishasha sector is located in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park and it’s known for harbouring the famous tree climbing lions which will be viewed during the game drive.

In Ishasha sector you can observe tree climbing lions lounging lazily up in the branches of trees such as acacias and figs staring at other animals like the Ugandan kobs, waterbucks, buffaloes, elephants, and many more. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Departure to Kampala

You will have a relaxed breakfast on the last day of your 5 days of exploring Queen Elizabeth national park, check out of the lodge and meet with your driver guide to be transferred back to Kampala for the last leg of your journey.

On the way you will a stopover at Igongo cultural center for lunch and then continue the journey with another stopover at the Equator where you will buy craft items, art pieces, paintings and take photos.

From the Equator you will proceed to Kampala reaching early evening and upon arrival your driver guide will drop you off at any place of convenience.

In addition to rhino tracking, you will continue with the journey and have a stopover to have lunch in Masindi town at the end of your journey.

 After lunch you will continue to Murchison fall national park and upon arrival check into the lodge, have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and Boat cruise

On the second day of your 5 Days Murchison falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth Park Safari, once you have eaten a hearty breakfast, you will be taken on a morning game drive which starts at around 6:30am or 7:00am, depending on the time of the year.

There will be a variety of game drives along different tracks including Buligi, Victoria, Albert among others which will give you an opportunity to observe animals such as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, waterbucks, leopards, Uganda kobs, Jackson’s hartebeest, among others throughout the game drive.

 After the game drive which will end at around you will drive back to the lodge and have lunch.

In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to participate in an amazing boat cruise activity which will take place at the Parra jetty landing site at 2:00 pm and will last for approximately 2 to 3 hours.

 In Murchison falls national park, you can enjoy a boat cruise on the River Nile during which you will be able to observe elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, and giraffes among others as they walk along the banks of the river, Nile crocodiles and hippos in the water, as well as many water birds like cormorants and fish eagles.

The boat will continue to the bottom of the falls where you will have beautiful views of the waterfall. While at the bottom of the falls, you can opt for a hike to the top of the falls which takes about 45 minutes. Hiking to the top of the falls however needs someone to be physically fit because it’s strenuous. Hiking will provide you with great experiences as you enjoy the water splashes and listen to the crashing waves. Upon reaching the summit, you will meet your driver guide and transfer to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Having enjoyed an early morning breakfast at the lodge on the third day of your 5 Days Murchison falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth park Uganda safari, you will check out of the lodge, meet with your driver guide and begin the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park in southern Uganda.

 This trip takes you all day and includes en-route lunch, a chance for you to take photos, stretch your legs, and spectacular views of tea plantations, scenery, landscapes, Rwenzori mountains, homesteads, Lake George, wildlife, including elephants, antelopes, and others as you drive through the park to the lodge. It is a full day journey with en-route lunch and a chance to take pictures. Upon arrival you will check in, have dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game drive/ lion tracking and boat cruise

Your 5 days safari to Murchison falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth Park will begin on the fourth day with a breakfast before you meet your driver guide for an early morning game drive or lion tracking experience in Kasenyi plains on the fourth day.

 The game drive will also give you the chance to see different animal species like leopards, elephants, Uganda kobs, lions, waterbucks, buffaloes, bushbucks, warthogs, bushpigs, lions, waterbucks, buffaloes, warthogs, bushpigs, and a variety of bird species including papyrus gonolek, white backed night heron, yellow throated cuckoo, red chested sunbird and white winged warbler.

 After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon after lunch, your driver guide will meet you up and arrange a transfer for you to take the boat cruise on Kazinga channel, which is a water body that joins Lake George with Lake Edward.

During this cruise, you will be able to see animals such as hippos and Nile crocodiles in water, elephants, buffaloes and waterbucks drinking water along the water banks, as well as a variety of water birds such as the martial eagle, papyrus gonolek, pelicans, African skimmers, cormorants, African spoonbills, fish eagles and king fishers on the riverbanks. The cruise starts at around 2:00 pm and takes about 2 hours.

After the boat cruise you will drive to Lake Katwe the salt lake where you will see local people extracting rock salt from the main lake to the landing area for sell. Lake Katwe was formed through volcanic eruption and has helped many people to earn a living through salt extraction.  You will also visit Lake Munyanyange which is 2kms away from Lake Katwe where you will see different bird species such as the flamingos, pied avocet, black winged stilt, black terns, sea gulls among others. After the crater lakes tour, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game drive and Departure to Kampala

On the last day of your 5 Days Murchison falls National Park and Queen Elizabeth Park safari you will have a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide for another game drive in the park.

In addition, during the game drive you will have the opportunity to observe animals which you might have missed on the previous day and after the game drive you will be driving out of the park and starting the journey to Kampala.

We will have lunch en route and continue the journey via Mbarara, during which you will stop for some photos, and also buy some souvenirs, craft items, art pieces, among others, at the Equator in Kayabwe where you will take photos and also shop for some souvenirs, craft items, art pieces among others. From the Equator you will continue the journey to Kampala where your driver guide will drop you off at the airport or at any place of convenience.

After the briefing you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and a park guide who is knowledgeable about the gorillas and well conversant with trails in the jungle. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where the gorillas are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food.

During trekking you will have views of animals like forest elephants, buffaloes, other primates like l’hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, different bird species like African harrier hawk, crowned hornbill, African green pigeon, blue headed sunbird among others. Day 1: Pick up and drive to Murchison falls national park,

Depending on the time at Entebbe airport when you arrive for your 6 day Uganda wildlife safari on the first day, you will be greeted by our driver guide whom will give you a briefing about the safari after which you will commence your journey to Murchison Falls national park based on your arrival time.

The journey takes about 5 to 6 hours’ drive and on the way you will have en-route lunch in Masindi town. We will then proceed on to Murchison falls national park where we will drive directly to the top of the falls, from where we will be able to see waterfalls, scenery, and animals among others. Upon arrival in the park, we will have an opportunity to experience breath-taking scenery, wildlife, and waterfalls. From the top of the falls, you will drive to the lodge for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and boat cruise to the bottom of the falls

In the morning of the second day of your Uganda safari, your driver guide will pick you up from your lodge after an early breakfast so that you can proceed to the game drive where you are going to see animals like buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, warthogs, giraffes, Uganda kobs that are grazing on the savannah plains with due respect. In addition to seeing predators such as hyenas, lions, leopards, etc., you can also view different kinds of birds, as well. After the game drive you will drive back to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will be treated to an exciting boat cruise where you will take a journey to the bottom of the falls, starting at the Paraa jetty landing site and taking approximately two hours. During the boat cruise you will be able to view large concentrations of hippos and crocodiles in water, view animals like elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, antelopes along the water banks, view water bird species like fish eagle, kingfishers, cormorants among others. After the boat cruise you will return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: drive to Kibale national park

After breakfast on the third day of the 6 days Uganda wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kibale national park in western Uganda. There is a 6- to 7-hour drive from Kigali to Umuganda. During the trip, you will have en-route lunch and have the opportunity to observe spectacular views of the traditional homesteads and local people, beautiful scenery, the view of the Rwenzori mountains, crater lakes, tea plantations, among others. Upon arrival in the park you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park

After an early morning breakfast on the fourth day of your six-day Uganda wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet your driver guide for a short transfer to the park headquarters so you can be briefed about the chimpanzee trekking trip.

After the briefing you will be grouped into 6 people, allocated a chimpanzee family to trek and a park guide who will lead you into the forest during trekking. Chimpanzee trekking is an interesting activity that starts at 8:00am and takes about 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on where the chimpanzees are located because they like to move from one place to another in search of food especially during the dry season.

During trekking you will be able to see other primates like red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, vervet monkeys, view some bird species, mammals, plants species among others. Once the chimpanzees are found you will be able spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn about their behaviors, habits, watch them feed, play, fight, hunt, mate, take photos and record the moments.

After one hour with the chimpanzees, you will trek to the park headquarters, where you will meet your driver guide and begin your trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southern Uganda. On the way you will have en-route lunch and then continue the journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park which harbours half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. Upon arrival you will continue to check into the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast on the fifth day of your 6 days Uganda wildlife safari, you will carry a packed lunch and meet your driver guide for a briefing about gorilla trekking rules and regulations at the park headquarters. After the briefing you will be grouped into 8 people, allocated a habituated gorilla family to trek and a park guide who is knowledgeable about the mountain gorillas and also conversant with trails in the jungle. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park starts at around 8:00am and takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas slept the previous night. During trekking you will have views of bird species, other primates like chimpanzees, l’hoest monkeys, red tailed monkeys, different plant and tree species among others. Once the mountain gorillas are found you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their environment where you will be able to watch them feed, breastfeed, groom young ones, play, observe their behaviours, take photos and record the breath-taking moments.

After the face-to-face encounter with the mountain gorillas, you will trek back to the starting point where you will receive a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking, and you will meet up with your driver guide to go for an optional cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the batwa people who used to reside in Bwindi Forest before it was gazetted as a national park. You will be able to experience their traditional performances, learn about their culture, their history, visit their homesteads, and much more. After the cultural tour, you will return back to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Departure to Kampala

After a relaxed breakfast on the last day of the 6 days Uganda wildlife safari, you will check out of the lodge and meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kampala. On the way you will have great views of the Kigezi hills, terraced farmlands, traditional homesteads and en-route lunch in Mbarara town. On your way back to Kampala, you will have a stopover in Kayabwe at the Equator, where you have the opportunity to take photos and purchase souvenirs before continuing on to Kampala. Day 1: Pickup from Kampala & Drive to Bwindi

As soon as you arrive in Kampala, you will be picked up by your guide either from the airport or any other agreed meeting point in Kampala that was arranged in advance. Set off to Bwindi (7-8hours drive) with a stopover at the equator then continue to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park arriving in the evening.

Day 2; Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest Park
Early in the morning, after enjoying a tasty breakfast, you will meet your driver who will transfer you to UWA’s headquarters in the park for an orientation session where you will be briefed about the do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking by UWA officials. After this, you will set off for the gorilla trek.

This is a once life time experience and unforgettable adventure. The ranger guides will lead you into the thick forest and start your search for the endangered Mountain Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about 1 hour.

The activity can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the Gorillas. This is an awesome and exciting moment.  En-route, there are other types of the primates such as the monkeys, birds and more. After the trek, you will receive your Gorilla trekking certificate and meet up with your driver / guide and return to the lodge where you will spend the evening at leisure.

Day 3; Drive to Bunyonyi- Afternoon Boat Cruise
Have breakfast and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Enjoy the scenic drive to your lodge at lake Bunyonyi. Upon your arrival at the lodge, check-in and later have lunch. Later in the afternoon you will head out for a boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi as you explore some of the islands on the lake include Akampene Island which also known known as the ‘punishment Island.’ Later return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 4: Nature walk

Wake up at leisure and have breakfast at your lodge. You will then head out for a guided nature walk around the lodge where you will have a chance to view a variety of bird species if you are an enthusiastic birder.
