This 3 Days Lake Mburu national Park Wildlife Safari takes you on a Uganda safari to Lake Mburo national park – the smallest savannah park in Uganda, on this safari you will explore the park, encounter various species of wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, warthogs, bush pigs, hyenas, waterbucks, Eland, Topis, reedbucks, sitatunga, zebras, vervet monkeys, side-striped jackals, white-tailed mongoose, otters and baboons.
You will also enjoy scenic views of the landscape consisting of rolling hills, savannah grasslands, rocky outcrops, valleys, acacia woodlands, swamps and a chain of lakes with Lake Mburo as the biggest lake.
Lake Mburo national park is located approximately 240 kilometers from Kampala, along the Masaka – Mbarara Road.

Detailed itinerary of 3 days Lake Mburo National Park Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Pickup and transfer to Lake Mburo National park, Game drive
Our Guide/Driver will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or at Entebbe International Airport upon arrival, he will give you a warm welcome and briefing about the safari and what to expect. Then embark on a journey of 4 hours to Lake Mburo national park, along the way you will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for pictures, you will enjoy views of the country side and farms filled with long horned cattle. You will have lunch in Mbarara Town and proceed to the park, on arrival you will go for an afternoon game drive on which you will see buffaloes, bush babes, zebras, Elands, antelopes among others calling the park home. After sunset, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game drive – Afternoon Boat cruise – Night Game drive
Wake up early for a cup of coffee or tea and head to the park for an early morning game drive driving along the Kazuma track, this track offers amazing views of the park including the rolling gills and all the 5 lakes. You will explore the park deeper encountering animals such as Zebras, Elands, waterbucks, bush bucks, warthogs, impalas, Klipspringer and many others. The morning game drive allows you spot night creatures and predators such as hyenas, lions and jackals.
You will head back to your lodge for late breakfast and lunch, in the afternoon you will return for a boat ride on Lake Mburo, on the cruise you will be able to spot countless birds on the shores of the lake including African fin foot, African grey hornbill, Brown Parrot, Common Scimitar bill, Crested Francolin, fish eagles, herons, Nubian Woodpecker, papyrus bush strike, pelicans, shoe bill stork, weaver birds, white winged warbler and Yellow breasted Apalis.
After the boat ride, you will have an evening game drive through the park and with a help of a spot light, you will be able to see many nocturnal animals. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Nature walk and departure
Wake up early for breakfast, pack up your belongings and head to the Salt lick area for a guide nature walk, you will watch several species of animals such as zebras, impalas and others licking salt from a wooden platform.
You will then exit the park and embark on a journey back to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator if you missed the first one, when you arrive in Kampala you will be dropped off either at the airport or at the hotel which marks the end of your safari.
