2 Day jinja city tour

After Kampala, the country’s capital, this 2-day Jinja tour will take you to Uganda’s second-largest and busiest commercial hub. Jinja was founded in 1907 and is situated on the beaches of Lake Victoria in the East, roughly 85 kilometers from Kampala. It is also the location of the Nile River’s source.

Rafting on the Nile, boat excursions, nature hikes, quad biking, bungee jumping and sight-seeing are just a few of the attractions and activities available in Jinja, which is a highly intriguing and exciting area.

 

Detailed Itinerary

 Day 1: Transfer to Jinja with Stop over at Sezibwa falls.

Have breakfast first thing in the morning, then drive to Jinja district in the east. Along the road, there are many attractions to visit, so you won’t get bored at all. Visit Sezibwa Falls during your stopover and go on a guided nature walk and sight-seeing tour.

After that, proceed to Mabira forest where you may go on a nature walk and witness a variety of animals there, including monkeys, different kinds of trees, and birds. Later, travel to Jinja while passing through several tea and sugar estates. On reaching Jinja visit the Bujagali falls, later take a boat to the source of the Nile and also visit Samuka Island where you  will an opportunity to view several birds on the island. Later after the days experiences, you will have to return   to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: White water rafting

Wake another awesome day ,  have your breakfast and later transfer to  the white water starting point , where you will be briefed and trained and prepared for the rafting exercise. The rafting can take fullday or half day, both offer great experience.   lunch is had on the water while rafting , later afer rafting exit and head back to the hotel or simply get into your vehicles and transfer back to Kampala.

Note: you can substitute rafting with kayaking, quad biking ,horse riding and  bungee jumping depending on the experiences you want.
