Day1: Transfer from Nairobi to Samburu national reserve

In the morning of the first day of your 5 days safari tour to Samburu, Ol Pejeta & Aberdare in Kenya, your safari driver/guide will pick you up directly from your hotel in Nairobi or from Jomo Kenyatta International airport and you will be taken to Samburu national reserve where you will be greeted by your safari guide and driver.

As one of the most scenically beautiful wildlife destinations in Kenya, the reserve boasts an assortment of beautiful forests, springs, rivers, and is known for its abundance of rare Grevy’s zebras that inhabit its protected areas. This reserve is also home to other animals, such as lions, hippos, giraffes, plus over 365 species of birds, including Somali ostriches with their distinctive blue legs, which are found in this reserve.

Once you arrive in the park, you will check into your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, you will go on a game drive to explore various sections of the park and enjoy viewing a wide variety of animals that live there. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Full day wildlife viewing in Samburu national reserve

In the morning of the second day of your 5 day Kenya wildlife safari tour to Samburu, Ol Pejeta & Aberdare, you will have breakfast at your lodge, then you will proceed to the park and experience a full day game drive with your packed lunch. As you go on the game drive, you will have the opportunity to see many animals living in the savannah plains of the park, such as elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, buffaloes, and so many more.

During the lunch break, you will have a picnic style lunch, which will be set at one of the picnic sites of the park, and then you will go on another game drive in the park after lunch. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

In the morning, after a delicious breakfast at your lodge on day 3 of your wildlife safari tour to Samburu, Ol Pejeta & Aberdare in the central part of Kenya, you will depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the central part of the country. On the way, you will have a break for lunch in Nairobi, the country’s capital.

On the way to Ol Pejeta wildlife conservancy, which is a long-term wildlife refuge located at the foothills of the Aberdare and Mount Kenya mountain ranges, you will stop for a while.

  A good number of animals live in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, including elephants, lions, rhinoceroses, cape buffaloes, chimpanzees, leopards, as well as rhinos, cheetahs, lions, and many others.

Once you have arrived at the conservancy, you will enjoy an evening game drive where you will be able to observe a variety of animals.

There is also the option to go on an optional safari to the Chimpanzee sanctuary, where you will find chimpanzees, as well as other wildlife such as the big five game animals such as lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, and several other mammals such as gazelles, waterbucks, hartebeests, olive baboons and others. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Aberdare national park

As you wake up for breakfast, you will have the opportunity to visit the Chimpanzee orphanage if you did not already have the opportunity to visit it before you go straight to the Aberdare Mountain Ranges in the highlands of Kenya. If you missed it on your last visit, now is your chance to do so before continuing your journey to the highlands of Kenya.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive with rhinos, colobus monkeys, reedbucks, hyenas, buffaloes, olive baboons, elephants, and other wildlife.  You may as well choose to spend your afternoon at leisure.

Day 5: Transfer to Nairobi

After you have completed your 5 days Kenya safari tour to Samburu, Ol Pejeta, and Aberdare, you will end your morning in the wilderness of Aberdare national park with a cup of coffee or tea. After breakfast, you will check out and then proceed to Nairobi where you will be dropped off either at the airport or at a hotel in Nairobi city en route to Nairobi national park, where you will have an en route game drive as you leave the park.
