3 days Rwanda primates safari : This Rwanda Safari provides you with the opportunity to view mountain gorillas and golden monkeys in Volcanoes national park, one of Rwanda’s most rewarding national parks.
While hiking along the Virunga mountains in Rwanda, like Mount Gahinga, Mount Sabyinyo, Mount Muhabura, Mount Bisoke and Mount Karisimbi, you will have the opportunity to observe a number of rewarding features of these primates in their natural habitat and observe how they behave in the wild for one hour.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: City tour & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After arriving in Kigali City, our company representative will greet you and transfer you to Kigali city where you will embark on a city tour visiting Kimironko market and the Gisozi genocide memorial site.
After lunch, proceed to Musanze, the closest town to Volcanoes National Park, which is located in the northern province of Rwanda. Arrive in Musanze in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (Mid-range) Hotel Muhabura (Budget) 5 volcanoes (Luxury)
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Volcanoes National Park
On the 2nd day of your 3 days Rwanda primates safari, A delicious breakfast will be served in the morning, followed by a transfer to the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled water for a briefing by park rangers at 7:00 a.m.
Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda
Upon completion of the briefing, you will begin your gorilla trekking journey accompanied by one of the ranger guides in search of mountain gorillas. The trek will take between two and eight hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas.
Guides will attempt to locate them based on where they were last seen the previous day.
During your visit with these gentle giants, you will spend approximately one hour with them, followed by a return to your lodge to relax and refresh.
In the evening, you may choose to participate in an optional community tour around Ruhengeri in order to get a sense of Rwanda’s culture. Dinner and overnight stay at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge (Mid-range) Hotel Muhabura (Budget) 5 volcanoes Luxury)
Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking
On the third day of your 3 days Rwanda primates safari, you will be served breakfast early and driven back to the park headquarters as on day two.
After receiving a briefing, we will go on a Golden Monkey Trek.
In Volcanoes national park, tracking is conducted but is less strenuous than Gorilla trekking.
Approximately 2 to 5 hours will be spent on this tour followed by a transfer back to Kigali and a trip to the airport to catch your onward flight.
