Detailed Itinerary for the 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari

DAY 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

As early as 07:00 am, you will be picked from your hotel in Kampala by your safari driver guide and drive west with a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for photos, along the way you will have lunch and then proceed to the park driving through the volcanic formations of the Western Rift Valley towards Queen Elizabeth national park.

Arrive in the evening and go for a 2 hours boay cruise on the Kazinga Channel connecting Lake George to Lake Edward, as you cruise you will enjoy watching the highest concentration of hippos and other wildlife such as herds of elephants, cape buffaloes drinking water on the banks of the channel and water birds such as herons, egrets, crested crane among others.

Head to your lodge, check in for dinner and overnight stay.

 DAY 2: Full Day in Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will transfer to the park for a full day game drive offering you an opportunity to explore and experience the park’s diverse eco-systems of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters which are a home to abundance of wildlife.

During the game drives, you will enjoy the magnificent backdrop of the massive Rwenzori Mountains, you will also get excellent sightings of lions, leopards, giant forest hog, African Cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbucks, Uganda kobs, topi and bush bucks among others. Game drives on this day (morning and afternoon game drive) will offer you the best memorable discovery of vast array of wildlife in Queen Elizabeth national park.

Alternatively you can have another boat cruise on Kazinga channel.

DAY 3: Maramagambo Forest, Drive back to Kampala

After breakfast you will checkout of your lodge and head to Maramagambo Forest for a guided walk in the tropical forest, you will spot primate such as chimpanzees, olive baboons and many bird species.

After exploring the forest, you exit the park and embark on a journey back to Kampala, you will have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch and arrive in Kampala in the evening, you will be dropped off either at your desired location or at the airport for your outbound flight.
