2 Days Mount Karisimbi Hiking Safari : In Rwanda, Mount Karisimbi is part of the Virunga masaif chain. If you participate in this two-day hiking expedition, you will be able to explore a number of rewarding attractions in the wild.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Volcanoes NP.
You will be met by your tour guide and driver as early as 5 a.m. depending on where you are located in Kigali city to set off to Volcanoes National Park, home to the last mountain gorillas in the world, connect directly to the park headquarters to receive an overview of the activity as early as 7 a.m., where the ranger guides will be assigned and you will begin the hike.
Karisimbi volcano is the highest peak in the Virunga conservation region.
Hiking to the summit affords spectacular views of various volcanoes, including Nyiragongo and Nyamulagira.
Taking part in this hike requires physical fitness as it is strenuous and challenging.
In this 6-hour hike, you will be able to observe different bird species as well as primates.
2 Days Mount Karisimbi Hiking Safari
Upon reaching a height of 3700m, you will arrive at the first camping site, where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Reach the summit, descend and return to Kigali
The second day of the 2 Day Karisimbi Hike begins with an early morning cup of coffee followed by a hike to Karisimbi’s summit for an hour.
The hike at this level is very steep, going through thick jungle surrounded by stunning views.
Enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding areas, such as Mount Muhabura, upon reaching the summit.
Upon reaching the summit, descend to the starting point where your driver will meet you and connect for a late lunch.
After your journey back to Kigali city, you will be dropped off at a location of your choice in Kigali city or at Kigali international airport.
